The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Dholpur House, New Delhi will hold a preliminary screening test for the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Examination 2023 for recruitment of the Indian Forest Service Officers. (Advertisement No. 06/2023-IFoS)
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold a Screening Test for selection to Indian Forest Service Examination, 2023 through Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2023 which will be held on 28th May 2023. The pattern of the Indian Forest Service Examination 2023 has been changed and candidates for IFS Examination 2023 need to appear in the Indian Civil Service Examination (Preliminary) 2023 for the same. The Main Examination is likely to be held in November 2023.

Age: Not less than 21 years and not more than 32 years as of 1st August 2023. The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from any recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in the notice.
Number of attempts: The maximum number of attempts permissible to different categories of aspirants, who are otherwise eligible, will be as (i) General Category – 6 attempts, (ii) OBC – 9 attempts (iii) SC/ST – No limit
Plan of Examination: The Indian Forest Service Examination will consist of two successive stages (i) Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination; and (ii) Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the Indian Forest Service.

All applications must Apply Online in the prescribed format from 01/02/2023 to 21/02/2023 only up to 6.00 PM. at https://upsconline.nic.in/mainmenu2.php. - First of all, visit the official website of UPSC to fill out the application form.
- Now on the home page of the website, you will see a section which is called “What’s New”
- Now candidates have to find the option “UPSC IFS Application Form 2022”.
- When you find the link, click on that link.
- Now you will see a new page will appear on the screen.
- Now enter all the valid information, such as email id or mobile number, for the registration.
- On successful registration, the candidates will get an application number with a password, after which candidates can proceed to fill out the online application form.
- Now enter all the required details, such as personal, educational and communication details.
- Upload the scanned copies of the photograph, signature and all the necessary documents.
- Now the last step is you need to pay the form fee.
